The U.S. team will play Greece in its second game of the FIBA Basketball World Cup on Monday morning.

Game time is 8:40 a.m. EDT, with ESPN2 carrying the action and the trio of fubo TV (FREE trial), Sling TV (first-month discount) and DirecTV steaming the game.

In the opener of the tournament being played in Manila, the U.S. fell behind by 10 points to New Zealand before roaring back to easily win 99-72.

Paolo Banchero scored 21 off the bench in his first World Cup game, Anthony Edwards added 14, and Jaren Jackson Jr. and Austin Reaves each scored 12 for the Americans, who remained unbeaten in six games this summer — the first five of them exhibitions.

This game was the first that counted for the Americans, who are trying to win the World Cup for the sixth time and erase the memory of finishing seventh in FIBA’s biggest tournament four years ago in China.

The U.S. could secure a spot in the second round as early as Monday, when it takes on Greece (1-0) in a rematch of an exhibition game in Abu Dhabi earlier this month. The Americans won that game 108-86.

Former NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo will not be playing for Greece after having surgery on his left knee earlier this summer.

If the U.S. wins, it will play its third game at 4:40 a.m. EDT Wednesday.

Five teams have already earned a spot in the round of 16: Canada, Latvia, Montenegro, Lithuania and Germany. Here’s the full schedule for Monday and Tuesday:

Monday

Group B (at Manila): China (0-1) vs. South Sudan (0-1), Puerto Rico (1-0) vs. Serbia (1-0)

Group C (at Manila): New Zealand (0-1) vs. Jordan (0-1), Greece (1-0) vs. U.S. (1-0)

Group F (at Okinawa): Venezuela (0-1) vs. Cape Verde (0-1), Georgia (1-0) vs. Slovenia (1-0)

Group G (at Jakarta): Ivory Coast (0-1) vs. Iran (0-1), Brazil (1-0) vs. Spain (1-0)

Tuesday

Group A: Angola (1-1) vs. Dominican Republic (2-0), Philippines (0-2) vs. Italy (1-1)

Group D: Egypt (0-2) vs. Mexico (0-2), Montenegro (2-0) vs. Lithuania (2-0)

Group E: Germany (2-0) vs. Finland (0-2), Australia (1-1) vs. Japan (1-1)

Group H: Lebanon (0-2) vs. France (0-2), Canada (2-0) vs. Latvia (2-0)

Team USA is favored a 22.5-point favorite to win Monday. The over/under is 178.5 points.

It’s also the overwhelming favorite to win the World Cup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, with the Americans’ odds listed at minus-135 (meaning a $135 wager on the Americans would return $235, if they won).
